Inspired design is a placemaking tool for interior life — connecting people and the spaces they share. Here are my sources of inspiration.
Cactus Garden
Tucked within a flourishing Northern California arboretum, this cactus garden is a retreat, dense with cacti, succulents and herbaceous plants. In the late afternoon, eucalyptus swag filters light into a dapple; palm fronds offer full shade.
Villa La Pietra
La Pietra derives its name from a stone pillar, marking the distance of one Roman mile from the Florence city gate of San Gallo, today Piazza della Libertà.
La Limonaia
The La Pietra gardens are of the most celebrated in Italy. Renaissance revival in style, they reflect the tastes of the large Anglo-American community that lived in Florence at the turn of the nineteenth century.
